A Unique Approach to Ending Homelessness
At Homeless Action Sonoma (HAS), we believe in a holistic, community-driven approach to solving homelessness in Sonoma Valley. Traditional methods often focus on temporary solutions, but our Four Pillar Approach is designed to create lasting change by addressing the root causes of homelessness and providing a pathway to independent living.

THE FOUR PILLAR APPROACH
After more than a year of these collaborative sessions, HAS developed its signature Four Pillar Approach—a method designed not just to manage homelessness but to end it. Through these four pillars, Homeless Action Sonoma works to implement lasting change, not just temporary fixes, helping to end homelessness for good.
EDUCATION
Empowering the community to understand homelessness and its underlying causes, helping to break down misconceptions and barriers.
INNOVATION
Developing forward-thinking strategies to address the root causes of homelessness and improve support systems.
INTEGRATION
Collaborating with local organizations and services to build a cohesive network that meets the varied needs of the homeless population.
CREATION
Navigating to sustainable housing solutions and fostering environments where individuals can reclaim independence and rebuild their lives.

Since becoming an official 501(c)(3) non-profit in 2020, Homeless Action Sonoma has been working tirelessly to provide:
- Temporary Emergency Shelter: A safe haven for those experiencing homelessness while they work toward stability.
- Supportive Services: Resources that address immediate needs like food, hygiene, and mental health support.
- Spearhead sustainable housing efforts: Long-term strategies to create permanent, affordable housing options in Sonoma Valley.
